COVID-19 RESPONSE

Quest Support Services is with you every step of the way during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our Health and Safety team is working diligently to ensure that staff and individuals are safe and we collectively work to reduce the transmission of Covid-19. At this time, we ask that the Quest Community stay informed and updated with resources and memos containing up-to-date information to assist us through these difficult times. Please do your part to keep our community safe. Memos and Agency-wide updates will be posted on this page as necessary.

SEASONAL

FALL SAFETY TIPS

  • Replace batteries on smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors

  • Check around the furnace and make sure it is clutter free

  • Make sure weather stripping is intact on doors and windows

  • Disconnect all outdoor hoses and sprinklers

  • Shut off all exterior faucets and valves

  • Clean up fallen leaves around the house and in the yard

  • Clean and put away outdoor furniture

  • Break out the sidewalk salt

  • Drive with extra caution in school zones with back to school

  • Get your vehicle winter ready: gloves, jacket, toque, extra windshield fluid, ice scrapper, shovel, and winter tires

RISK MANAGEMENT

Quest Support Services recognizes, evaluates, and manages risks throughout all operational areas. The Agency has mechanisms at all levels (individuals, employees, organizational, and community) to ensure it meets due diligence to formally and informally manage risks. The health and safety culture of the organization places a responsibility amongst everyone to identify, evaluate, and manage risk. Any risk that is not identified and cannot be adequately mitigated through planning, training, environmental changes, or other measures needs to be brought to the attention of a Director so that a decision on whether the task, activity, or supports will continue or cease. See policy HS-02 Risk Management for more information.

Quest is dedicated to following Occupational Health and Safety legislation. The last OHS assessment took place in March 2020 and the Agency passed with flying colours!
