"To re-structure a self-advocacy group”
Throughout the past two years, the pandemic created a number of barriers and obstacles preventing groups from getting together. As restrictions have eased, the AIR team is focusing on restructuring what was formally known as VOICES into a curriculum based self-advocacy group. The focus will be gaining input from members on topics for skill building and development and producing high quality opportunities for self-advocates to learn a variety of skills.
As the weather continues to get hot we will continue to be outside having all kinds of fun. However, when the dog days of summer are upon us, we might find ourselves enjoying the outdoors in the morning and staying inside during the heat of the day. Bring with a water bottle, sunscreen and hat. Ensure you have appropriate footwear for all the fun games the park brings. Keep your eyes out for posters for picnics and park days.
