About Quest
Quest Support Services Inc. has been in existence since the fall of 1993. The Agency began as a Community Access Program consisting of 12 individuals receiving day program services. By 1999 Quest expanded services to include residential placements. Seven group homes and eight supported homes were established by the Agency. Since that time, Quest has grown even larger to provide services to upwards of 180 individuals in a range of settings, including Group Homes, Community Access (Day Program), Supported Homes, Respite, and Children Services.
Quest operates under the direction of the President and a team of directors. It is a privately owned Agency which provides services to individuals with disabilities who are funded by PDD & FSCD. Our main office is located in Lethbridge.
We feel all of our programs promote the quality of life for individuals with a disability. It is our belief that community integration is essential to the continuous re-establishment of society's perspective of persons with a disability. We are moving further and further away from institutionalization and Quest is proud to assist with this movement.
Mission Statement
To enable individuals with disabilities to participate fully in society by providing the environment, training, and maximum opportunities for individuals to work and live towards personal goals, community integration, social acceptance and the maintaining and acquiring or skills and abilities that contribute to community life.
Statement of Philosophy
We believe that all of the individuals we serve have the right to a quality program which facilitates their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. We also believe that an effective service focuses on the individual within the context of family and community and the management of service delivery is best provided through a collaborative, multidisciplinary team effort. This multidisciplinary team includes the parents, the guardians, the caregivers and the professionals working together in an atmosphere of equality and mutual respect.
Quest prides itself on the idea that the individual does not have to fit into the criteria of our program. We have designed our program so it is flexible and will fluctuate in order to fit the individual's criteria. Our focus is to meet each of our client's needs, not for individuals to meet our needs.
